About us

BanterFM was created from banter, for the banter.

As a serving Commissaire for British Cycling, I’ve had the privilege to attend and officiate at numerous mountain bike races, from regional to World Championship events. In such settings, socializing can be quite limited. However, through constant communication via radio, we made use of unused channels to engage in informal chatter and that’s how BanterFM came to life.

What is a Commissaire? Legends, that’s what we are. Occasionally referred to as condoms on the d!ck of progress, not I; as previous competitor, I get it.

Commissaires are trained officials who are present at events to ensure cycling competition is safe and fair. We are present in all levels of racing and operate in all racing disciplines. Duties include checking rider eligibility to compete, validation of race results and report on the race organisation, incidents and penalties/fines.

As a former mountain bike racer, and speedway mechanic…Fuelled by a love for mountain biking and speedway, BanterFM is committed to breaking new ground and evolving with each passing year.

Now, I’m not saying I’m attractive, but when I take off my clothes in the bathroom, the shower gets turned on.

From sponsoring a speedway club to sharing the banter with countless mountain bikers, the journey is only just beginning.

At BanterFM, we thrive on the excitement of adventure and the joy of discovering new trails, uncharted paths and endless banter of all levels. Where the road ends, our journey begins.

And that’s the story, folks. A brand born from nothing but banter. The destination is unknown, but the adventure continues.

Have you got your BanterFM stickers yet – if not, then drop me a note!
